More Woman, More Cry
2019

More Woman More Cry is a raw and lyrical documentary monologue that delves into the inner world of a woman confronting aging, memory, and identity with disarming honesty and dark humor. Set largely in the stillness of a solitary life, the film unfolds as a poetic stream of consciousness: fragmented memories, confessions, surreal dreams, and biting observations on womanhood and mortality.
Through intimate narration, the protagonist reflects on her childhood, her eccentric parents, lost loves, bodily decline, and the absurdities of gender and societal expectations. The film drifts between philosophical musings, diary-like entries, and humorous commentary on menopause, hormones, and late-in-life desire. With wry wit, she wonders if testosterone therapy might bring back youth—or merely turn her into a man.
Visually minimalist yet emotionally expansive, the documentary becomes an interior journey through time, silence, and personal transformation. Her only companion is an aging dog, a living mirror of her own fragility. Yet even in isolation, her voice is defiant and full of life.
More Woman More Cry is not just a meditation on growing old—it's a powerful act of witnessing oneself with clarity, absurdity, and grace.
