Our Story
Incitus is a Norwegian film production company with a passion for powerful, story-driven cinema. Founded in 2002, we started out creating commissioned work, corporate videos and short films, but quickly shifted our focus to what truly drives us: feature films, scripted series and documentaries.

Since 2007, Incitus has been led by Jarle Bjørknes, who works closely with a dynamic network of writers and directors from both Norway and abroad. Together, we develop and produce films that aim to entertain, challenge, and connect with audiences.
Our first fiction feature premiered in 2008, marking a major milestone in our journey. Since then, feature-length films have been at the core of what we do.

Over the years, our films have reached wide audiences and gained recognition at renowned festivals such as Karlovy Vary, Tribeca, Oberhausen, The Norwegian Film Festival, Grimstad’s Kortfilmfestivalen, and the Riga International Film Festival, among others.​
